This one is the easiest question to answer. If you watch any of the videos on my website you can see I am so grateful to be in a profession that provides such a life changing service to so many kids and adults. We transform a patient’s smile but that does so much more for them. It is so rewarding to watch a shy, unconfident kid just come out of their shell, start talking and smiling more and just being more confident once their teeth start getting straighter. I have an opportunity to connect with so many kids (and adults) and not only build a relationship with them but influence them in a positive way.
I am part of the cleft palate and craniofacial clinic and many of these patients have been through so much. They have very complex dental and orthodontic needs and it can be very challenging technically but also emotionally. Watching them positively change physically and emotionally is one of the most rewarding things we do at my office.

I would consider myself a true Hometown orthodontist in Pensacola. I was born in Pensacola and lived in Gulf Breeze until I left for college. I had the opportunity to fulfill my dream of practicing orthodontics in Pensacola when Dr. Trawick entrusted me with the responsibility of his 40-year-old practice. I am honored to provide orthodontics to many of the grandchildren of his former patients. The location is conveniently located for anyone living in Pensacola. It is also a top orthodontics practice for those living in Pace, Milton, Cantonment, and Perdido with a maximum of 15 minute drive. Our office is right off I-110 and next door to Barnes and Nobles and Sam’s Club.

At this point, you begin the retention stage of your treatment, and your final orthodontic result will depend on your retainers.
Dr. Sims and his staff create a wonderful atmosphere that makes getting braces, enjoyable! We had to move out of town in the middle of my son's treatment and Dr. Sims worked with us in order for us not to have to transfer to another orthodontist. One day, we couldn't make it to the appointment until almost an hour after they closed due to a flight delay. Dr. Sims and his staff stayed and waited for us. I can't thank them enough for being customer centric and understanding.

I'm 21, had braces and full orthodontic treatment then I got them off at 16. I lost my retainers, got relapse and as a result have a slight over bite (probably a class 1)plus other teeth have shifted. I came in for a consultation, and although the doctor agreed my case wasn't severe by any means he still insisted it would take me 1 year of Invisalign or braces and 5141k to align my bite. (Even though braces are still cheaper Invisalign he said they were going to cost me the same.) Now, I'm not an orthodontist but believe me when I say I did my research before coming there and the cost of Invisalign is 3-8k depending on how bad your teeth are. I'm nowhere near a 6 or 8k job, probably 3k. Bottom line is, if you don't want to get ripped off shop around and see several different orthos. Ended up working with one who is only charging me 800$ and 6 months for treatment , so please keep this in mind if you're on the fence about getting your teeth aligned. It was very frustrating to go there and be lied to. Also, they threatened to sue me over making a negative review online.
I could not be more pleased with the care my two boys have received from Dr. Sims and his staff. They are equally as exceptional with the clinical care of their patients as they are with customer service. Simply stated, I would not use a different orthodontist than Dr. Sims.

We absolutely LOVE this office! We are always very pleased with their professionalism and efficiency. They welcomed our teen on the 1st visit and even had a gift bag full of goodies waiting for him to arrive. The doctor is never in a hurry always spending the time to answer our questions and speaks with our teen directly regarding his braces. This is very important to us. Dr. Sims and his staff were absolutely amazing! They made my son feel better after having braces anxiety. They talked us through each step and made us feel at home. Also, hospitality is 5 star for sure!! They offer coffee, hot chocolate, and water for patients and family. We definitely recommend them for all your orthodontic needs.
