This one is the easiest question to answer. If you watch any of the videos on my website you can see I am so grateful to be in a profession that provides such a life changing service to so many kids and adults. We transform a patient’s smile but that does so much more for them. It is so rewarding to watch a shy, unconfident kid just come out of their shell, start talking and smiling more and just being more confident once their teeth start getting straighter. I have an opportunity to connect with so many kids (and adults) and not only build a relationship with them but influence them in a positive way.
I am part of the cleft palate and craniofacial clinic and many of these patients have been through so much. They have very complex dental and orthodontic needs and it can be very challenging technically but also emotionally. Watching them positively change physically and emotionally is one of the most rewarding things we do at my office.

I would consider myself a true Hometown orthodontist in Pensacola. I was born in Pensacola and lived in Gulf Breeze until I left for college. I had the opportunity to fulfill my dream of practicing orthodontics in Pensacola when Dr. Trawick entrusted me with the responsibility of his 40-year-old practice. I am honored to provide orthodontics to many of the grandchildren of his former patients. The location is conveniently located for anyone living in Pensacola. It is also a top orthodontics practice for those living in Pace, Milton, Cantonment, and Perdido with a maximum of 15 minute drive. Our office is right off I-110 and next door to Barnes and Nobles and Sam’s Club.

My family loves Bayer & Curtis! They definitely are the Disney World of Orthodontics. Everyone is always friendly, smiling, knows your name, and will do whatever it takes to make you smile! This is one of the best dental offices I have ever been to. The staff is super friendly and treat me as though I have known them for years. They schedule my appointments around my work schedule. I work for a dental office that refers patients to Bayer and Curtis Orthodontics on a daily basis and am constantly raving about how great this office is to their future patients. My daughter and I had a wonderful experience during her apt of FULL braces and Herbst appliance. I think that I was more nervous than she was! I was able to take pictures as well as stand right beside her while the braces were being put on. She was comfortable and laughing/smiling the whole time during the apt. Katie, the hygentists, was amazing with my daughter! She kept the mood light and did a wonderful job putting the braces on my daughter. The over all experience was a remarkable one!

I'm 21, had braces and full orthodontic treatment then I got them off at 16. I lost my retainers, got relapse and as a result have a slight over bite (probably a class 1)plus other teeth have shifted. I came in for a consultation, and although the doctor agreed my case wasn't severe by any means he still insisted it would take me 1 year of Invisalign or braces and 5141k to align my bite. (Even though braces are still cheaper Invisalign he said they were going to cost me the same.) Now, I'm not an orthodontist but believe me when I say I did my research before coming there and the cost of Invisalign is 3-8k depending on how bad your teeth are. I'm nowhere near a 6 or 8k job, probably 3k. Bottom line is, if you don't want to get ripped off shop around and see several different orthos. Ended up working with one who is only charging me 800$ and 6 months for treatment , so please keep this in mind if you're on the fence about getting your teeth aligned. It was very frustrating to go there and be lied to. Also, they threatened to sue me over making a negative review online.

We took our son to Sims Orthodontist for a consultation for braces today, and it was amazing. The staff was unbelievably friendly, and the atmosphere was so welcoming. The waiting room even had a coffee bar a PlayStation for the kids, and some comfy bean bags to lounge in. Dr. Sims and Nicole were incredible and made us feel right at home. If anyone needs orthodontic care, I highly recommend Sims Orthodontist!
