This one is the easiest question to answer. If you watch any of the videos on my website you can see I am so grateful to be in a profession that provides such a life changing service to so many kids and adults. We transform a patient’s smile but that does so much more for them. It is so rewarding to watch a shy, unconfident kid just come out of their shell, start talking and smiling more and just being more confident once their teeth start getting straighter. I have an opportunity to connect with so many kids (and adults) and not only build a relationship with them but influence them in a positive way.
I am part of the cleft palate and craniofacial clinic and many of these patients have been through so much. They have very complex dental and orthodontic needs and it can be very challenging technically but also emotionally. Watching them positively change physically and emotionally is one of the most rewarding things we do at my office.

I would consider myself a true Hometown orthodontist in Pensacola. I was born in Pensacola and lived in Gulf Breeze until I left for college. I had the opportunity to fulfill my dream of practicing orthodontics in Pensacola when Dr. Trawick entrusted me with the responsibility of his 40-year-old practice. I am honored to provide orthodontics to many of the grandchildren of his former patients. The location is conveniently located for anyone living in Pensacola. It is also a top orthodontics practice for those living in Pace, Milton, Cantonment, and Perdido with a maximum of 15 minute drive. Our office is right off I-110 and next door to Barnes and Nobles and Sam’s Club.

As long time patients of Doctors Bayer and Curtis we were nervous to be changed to Dr Sims. Our experience with him however has been just as wonderful as before. My daughter and I had a wonderful experience during her apt of FULL braces and Herbst appliance. I think that I was more nervous than she was! I was able to take pictures as well as stand right beside her while the braces were being put on. She was comfortable and laughing/smiling the whole time during the apt. Katie, the hygentists, was amazing with my daughter! She kept the mood light and did a wonderful job putting the braces on my daughter. The over all experience was a remarkable one!
My invisalign experience was good over all. The 1st tray hurt a lot but aside from that it was much easier than braces. I have had braces in the past and this is much better. The staff is very nice at both offices, they have supportive attitudes. I haven't been to any other orthodontists in the area but I would choose Sims again.

My 11 year old granddaughter is visiting me from Miami Beach and late Friday afternoon at the Blue Angels show, one of the wires on her braces started bothering her. It was very uncomfortable. I called Dr. Sims office and was immediately given an appointment for Monday morning at 8:30. We arrived early today, Monday, and she was immediately seen. It took just a few minutes to resolve her problem with her braces. I went to the window to pay for the visit. I was told there would be no charge. I explained she wasn't a patient of Dr. Sims and still was told no charge. What wonderful, kind, generous people. My granddaughter said: "I love them and this place. Its better than the office where I go at home." I would highly recommend Dr. Sims and his staff to anyone In Pensacola or the surrounding cities. You will be extremely happy with the people, the professionalism, the service, and the results. I wish I could give them 10 stars!! Happy Grandma!

Our first visit at Sims Orthodontics’s was a “Free” Consult for our twin girls. We chose Sims after a visit at 2 other local Orthodontist Facilities. I got braces as an adult because I had big gaps in my teeth . My Son Cameren has been seeing Dr Sims since August 1st 2016. Every visit is just as amazing as the last and we look forward to the next one. Today they got us in on a two hour notice due to an emergency and also took care of his two month commitment. To Amanda, who took care of my son today, thank you. Seeing him smile makes my day and the joy he has when we come see you guys is uplifting. If my daughter needs braces believe me when I say I will go nowhere else.
1-5-15 I am a current client and I absolutely LOVE these people. They are totally up-to-date on everything, they are great about keep clients informed and they've all encouraged me through the battle with my teeth. Plus the staff seems to maintain their smiles too (it's a happy place with some pretty teeth). My last visit with Lisa was most pleasant; I was able to request info and look at the x-rays and everything. She was great. I must add that having braces as a teacher makes it difficult to schedule appointments but the staff always try hard to find me an after-school appt. time and they even see patients on most holidays. I cannot boast enough about this company. 6 stars from me!
