How Invisalign Works
To create your custom Invisalign aligners, we first build a picture of your teeth by scanning them with our digital ITero video scanner. This eliminates the need to take impressions and helps us create a 3D model of your teeth. The model is then used to generate a fully custom, clear aligner that you will wear for about two weeks, with total treatment time taking anywhere between 6 – 24 months.
Invisalign for Teens
Sims Orthodontics also offers Invisalign Teen, made specifically for teenagers and their busy lifestyles. Each aligner has a blue-to-clear compliance indicator that serves as a gauge to how long each aligner should be worn. When the indicator is clear, it means the aligner needs to be replaced. Invisalign Teen patients will receive six free replacement aligners in case some get lost or broken. Invisalign Teen works the same way as traditional Invisalign, and can be used to treat a variety of conditions, including overly crowded teeth, widely spaced teeth, crossbite, overbite, and underbite.
