This one is the easiest question to answer. If you watch any of the videos on my website you can see I am so grateful to be in a profession that provides such a life changing service to so many kids and adults. We transform a patient’s smile but that does so much more for them. It is so rewarding to watch a shy, unconfident kid just come out of their shell, start talking and smiling more and just being more confident once their teeth start getting straighter. I have an opportunity to connect with so many kids (and adults) and not only build a relationship with them but influence them in a positive way.
I am part of the cleft palate and craniofacial clinic and many of these patients have been through so much. They have very complex dental and orthodontic needs and it can be very challenging technically but also emotionally. Watching them positively change physically and emotionally is one of the most rewarding things we do at my office.

I would consider myself a true Hometown orthodontist in Pensacola. I was born in Pensacola and lived in Gulf Breeze until I left for college. I had the opportunity to fulfill my dream of practicing orthodontics in Pensacola when Dr. Trawick entrusted me with the responsibility of his 40-year-old practice. I am honored to provide orthodontics to many of the grandchildren of his former patients. The location is conveniently located for anyone living in Pensacola. It is also a top orthodontics practice for those living in Pace, Milton, Cantonment, and Perdido with a maximum of 15 minute drive. Our office is right off I-110 and next door to Barnes and Nobles and Sam’s Club.

My family has been coming here for over 3 years. One of the best decisions for our children's health has been choosing Dr. Sims for our orthodontist. Through every stage of our treatment plan, my children and myself have been treated with kindness, patience and feeling like we are special. Dr. Sims has never rushed any aspect of our care, he truly wants what is best for the individual patient. Every time we come in for care, you never have the sense of being rushed or overlooked. The staff are exceptional!! My one child has been very anxious over her care and the staff has lovingly embraced her and has proceeded at her pace. It is a genuine family atmosphere. Our first visit at Sims Orthodontics’s was a “Free” Consult for our twin girls. We chose Sims after a visit at 2 other local Orthodontist Facilities. Dr. Sims and his staff did not disappoint, they were professional, patient, & friendly all our questions were answered and was given some informative info for future Ref. On their 1st visit they were given a really Cool gift! At 63 I thought I was too old for braces. Dr Sims convinced me otherwise, and I'll be forever grateful. My one tip of advice is, "Wear Your Invisalign Retainer!" Unfortunately, I did not, and my teeth shifted quickly. Thankfully, I didn't have to wear braces too long the 2nd time. Dr Sims has a heart bigger than life.
