Gulf Breeze is home. Not just professionally. Personally. My family has been here since 1956 when my grandfather Max moved to town and helped build this community from the ground up. He was Gulf Breeze’s first fire chief. He opened Bokas and Jordan Pharmacy, which for years was the only drugstore between Pensacola and Fort Walton Beach. My mom was in the first graduating class of Gulf Breeze High School in the 1970s.
I went to Gulf Breeze Elementary, Gulf Breeze Middle, and Gulf Breeze High. Now I’m raising my own family here. My son goes to Oriole Beach Elementary. When I sponsor a Gulf Breeze High basketball team or donate to the Gulf Breeze Elementary PTA, it’s not a marketing decision. It’s what you do when this is genuinely your community.
I’m Dr. Clay Sims, a board-certified orthodontist and Diamond Invisalign Provider. I grew up three generations deep in Gulf Breeze and I now practice orthodontics here. Our Gulf Breeze Office
Our Gulf Breeze office is located at 13 Center Rd, Gulf Breeze, FL 32561. We’re within walking distance of Gulf Breeze Elementary, Gulf Breeze Middle School, and Gulf Breeze High School. Chick-fil-A is across the street. We’re next to Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church. If you’ve lived here for any time you know exactly where that is.
We hold Gulf Breeze appointments on select Fridays. When you come in you’ll see the same team and the same doctor, me, that you’d see at any of our three locations. All of our patient records are on the cloud, so your information is current and accessible no matter which office you’re in. No paperwork gaps, no starting over.
One important thing to know: New patient exams, adjustments, Invisalign checks, and most appointments can be done right here in Gulf Breeze. Getting braces placed and getting braces removed are done at our main Pensacola office, about 20 minutes away. We’ll make that clear at your consultation so there are no surprises. For most families it’s a small trade-off for the convenience of having a local office for the majority of their appointments.

Who We Serve from the Gulf Breeze Office
Our Gulf Breeze patients come from Gulf Breeze Proper, Tiger Point, Navarre, and Pensacola Beach. We’re the closest orthodontic office to Pensacola Beach, just across the bridge, and we treat a lot of families from the beach side including patients from Pensacola Beach Elementary.
Gulf Breeze is a smaller beach community than Pensacola but it’s grown significantly over the years and it has its own distinct character. Families here tend to be established in the community, involved in schools and sports, and looking for a practice that feels like it belongs here rather than one that just opened a satellite office to capture the market.
We belong here. That’s not a marketing line. It’s three generations of my family living, working, and building in this community.
Community Involvement in Gulf Breeze
We sponsor Gulf Breeze High School basketball, baseball, and football. We’ve supported middle school and high school cheer programs. We contribute to the PTAs at Gulf Breeze Elementary and Oriole Beach Elementary. My son goes to Oriole Beach and when I show up to something there it’s as a parent, not as a sponsor looking for recognition.
Our Teacher Wish List program, which started in Crestview, has expanded and we’re proud to support Gulf Breeze area teachers and classrooms as well. Twelve years running, ten classrooms a year, more than $50,000 back into local schools.
The Jordan family’s connection to Gulf Breeze goes even deeper than my own. My grandfather Max wasn’t just a pharmacist here. He was the town’s first fire chief. He was part of building the infrastructure of Gulf Breeze when it was still a small community finding its identity. My mom was in that first graduating class at Gulf Breeze High. I wrote a book about my grandfather’s life. His father Doc Jordan who practiced medicine in rural Alabama, his move to Gulf Breeze in 1956, the pharmacy, and the community he helped create. What We Offer at Our Gulf Breeze Location
We offer the full range of orthodontic services at our Gulf Breeze office, the same as our Pensacola and Crestview locations.
For children and teens:
- Early Phase 1 evaluation and treatment starting at age 7
- Free observation program for kids who aren’t ready for treatment yet
- Full braces treatment in metal or clear ceramic
- Invisalign Teen and Phase 1 Invisalign
- Palate expanders and other orthodontic appliances
- New patient exams with Dr. Sims personally
For adults:
- Full braces or Invisalign treatment
- Limited and express Invisalign for minor alignment
- Retreatment for teeth that have shifted after previous orthodontic care
As a Diamond Invisalign Provider I treat a high volume of Invisalign cases every year. Gulf Breeze patients in particular tend to be good Invisalign candidates: adults who want discreet treatment and teens who are motivated and responsible with their aligners. Braces and Invisalign are priced the same at our practice based on case complexity, not appliance type.
